Cioccoshow, Italy's foremost exhibition of high-quality artisanal chocolate, returns to the main squares and streets of Bologna's historical centre for the sixth consecutive year.

24 to 28 November: five days of initiatives that stimulate the sense of taste, with chocolate accompanying all of the events during Cioccoshow, from tastings to culture, performances and music, in a setting to be enjoyed to the full.

A wide range of events, including laboratories held by the Chocolate School for aspiring Master Chocolate Makers, as well as basic courses for mothers and children.

Ciocconight, the sweet night of Saturday 27 November, will attract a vast public in a tasting itinerary accompanied by entertainment. The Cioccoshow stands set up in Piazza Nettuno, via dell' Archiginnasio, Piazza Galvani, Piazza Re Enzo, via Orefici, Piazza Mercanzia, and Piazza Santo Stefano will stay open until midnight.

The Artisanal Laboratory in Piazza Re Enzo will offer lessons for students covering all aspects of cocoa. In addition, the Path of Delights will offer a variety of menus based on chocolate in a historical-gastronomic itinerary through the streets of the historical centre.

Last but certainly not least, there will again be the contest entitled Win your weight in chocolate, offered by the Bologna newspaper Il Resto del Carlino, in which readers are invited to send in a recipe whose main ingredient is chocolate. The top fifty recipes selected by Cioccoshow's Master Chocolate Makers and by the editor of Il Resto del Carlino will receive delicious prizes, and the first prize will be the winner's weight in chocolate!

PocketFair is now on iPhone

Pocket Fair, the new interactive information channel that dialogues with BolognaFiere, is now available at the Apple Store. This new application, designed and developed by BF Servizi in cooperation with PS Mobile, will allow iPhone users - free of charge - to receive complete information on the exhibitions and events held at BolognaFiere. Specifically, it will provide:

- information on the Exhibition Centre, including locations of car parks, available services, and interactive map of halls with GPS function and compass;
- a calendar of all events organized at BolognaFiere, with the ability to directly contact organizing secretaries;
- information on all companies in the BolognaFiere Group;
- a guide map of the exhibition you are visiting and a list of exhibitors in each hall;
- a wealth of useful information on the city of Bologna and its services: cultural and tourist itineraries, events in the city, a list and references of museums, restaurants, hotels, shops, and everything else you need to know;
- constant updates via RSS feeds.
At the Apple Store, the user can also purchase the exhibitor catalogue for events of interest and consult it on his/her smartphone.

In this way, Pocket Fair users can efficiently organize their visit to exhibitions in advance, creating an orderly list of preferred exhibitors to visit (service subject to fee).

The distinctive feature of Pocket Fair is that it also works off-line (without connection cost), in addition to containing a navigator of the Exhibition Centre that uses GPS technology and a compass function so that the user may move easily from one hall to another. This means that visitors to the Exhibition Centre can see exactly where they are and monitor the direction of their movements.

The launching of Pocket Fair for iPhone expresses BF Servizi's preference for the Apple platform and confirms its intent to develop strategies and synergies for the mobile community.

2010 Festivaletteratura

BF Servizi is the technical sponsor of the 2010 Mantua Literary Fair, devoted to the world of culture, with almost 200 events including meetings with authors, readings, performances, concerts, and laboratories for adults and children.

Festivaletteratura is a lively culture-fest that has long attracted readers as well as the just-curious, who know that they will meet writers, musicians, and actors in the city's streets and squares.

The Festivaletteratura of Mantua has always been a great success with the public thanks to the originality of its formula and to the quality and variety of its presentations. Meetings with authors, readings, theatre and music are presented in unusual locations of great historical-artistic value.

This formula, well known in Anglo-Saxon countries (Mantua draws inspiration from the famous event held at Hay-on-Wye in Wales), is ideal in the lovely, people-friendly city of the Gonzagas.
During the Festival, culture and reading become entertainment, a live performance framed in a city of art, easy to see on foot, where in September the public mixes with authors in total freedom.

Writers, spectators, organizers, and volunteers from the Associazione Filofestival all contribute to creating a festive atmosphere.
The literary encounters - heart of the programme - feature Italian novelists and poets, internationally renown writers, and young authors, interviewed by famous colleagues, journalists, and experts.

Special attention is paid to children, with a separate area of the Festival offering meetings, laboratories, and activities.
Festivaletteratura also offers guided tours of the city's historical and cultural heritage; theatrical performances of works by major playwrights; readings by poets, whose voices communicate the meaning of their world and of their feelings; concerts where performers pay homage to various literary traditions; meetings on art, architecture, design, and illustration. Plus lunches with authors and original-language readings in Piazza Concordia.

During the Festival, Mantua opens the doors to its monumental buildings and private gardens, and offers its squares and streets for meetings and performances. Going beyond the city's most famous artistic treasures, Festivaletteratura enters less "touristy" but equally precious locations, discovering new spaces every year.
The entire city takes part in the celebrations: the historical centre with its shops, coffee houses, and restaurants are involved in a variety of initiatives to promote the discovery, knowledge, and appreciation of Mantua.

Bf Servizi is organizing partner of Music Italy Show 2010

Music Italy Show, for professional musicians, music-lovers, and the general public, is a collaborative effort of Associazione Dismamusica - Distribuzione, Industria, Strumenti Musicali e Artigianato - and BolognaFiere, and intends to become the reference point for the entire Music System: from musical instruments to equipment for DJs, lighting and stage equipment to amplification, music publishing to recording.

BF Servizi is an organizing partner of Music Italy Show and, in cooperation with Stark, was responsible for designing, creating, and setting up an interactive tunnel in which the passage of visitors activates a virtual carpet that displays images of the world's most important guitarists.

In addition, BF Servizi, in cooperation with Live of Florence, managed and coordinated all of the procedural and organizational phases of the Ultimate World Guitar Exhibition concert, to be held in Piazza Maggiore on 15 May.
BF Servizi will also supervise the inaugural party in Palazzo Re Enzo on Friday, 14 May. The guest of honour is American DJ and producer Claude Von Stroke, one of the top names in Detroit's new electronic dance school. Videos by Danish video designer Mikkel Garro will be shown.

Held simultaneously with Music Italy Show is the annual Music Heaven Bologna: 6 days (12 to 17 May) devoted entirely to music, presented in Bologna, a UNESCO "City of Music."

The "Albatros Paolo Pinto Project " Association was formed to commemorate Paolo Pinto, a Bari-born attorney and extraordinary champion of scuba diving.

The Association's principal goals are social, moral, sporting, and recreational, and seek to improve the life of blind and sight-impaired persons and to integrate them in society.

Therefore, our meeting with scuba instructor Manrico Volpi and our shared interests in this field let us conceive, develop, and organize our project for a new method to teach scuba diving to the blind.

This method has now been successfully applied for a significant length of time, with standards, support materials, printed manuals, and many courses already taught in Bari, Gallipoli, Pulsano, and Venice to the satisfaction of all involved. Special dives (for example, under ice, etc.) fully demonstrated its effectiveness.

The radical new aspect of this method compared to all of the others, which have not changed since the early, pioneering days of the sport (as attested to by the blind persons themselves), consists essentially of a revolutionary strategy that - thanks to suitable teacher training - constantly satisfies the principle of the blind person's "aware independence" and, simultaneously, of authentic "environmental knowledge."

In practice, the goal is to transform the blind person from someone to be passively transported under water to someone fully independent during the dive, with the companion's role limited to that played by a guide dog in everyday life. In essence, the blind person is no longer disabled, but instead a scuba diver in all respects, able to do scuba tourism and dive in waters all over the world.

This approach and philosophy can be applied to problems of disability at the international level. Such problems recognize no borders and are similar in every country, as are the opportunities they offer. The teaching method is extraordinarily effective and powerful from the point of view of educational psychology, including for purposes of updating any scuba instructor, even in his/her everyday work with normally intelligent divers.

All of this has now received the prestigious Cmas award, achieved by Albatros as the ideal seal of quality and innovation.

With the motto "A blind scuba diver is not a disabled person, but simply a scuba diver," the Albatros Paolo Pinto Project continues its work with Scuba Blind International - CMAS.

Arte Fiera is now interactive

At Arte Fiera, all art lovers who have the Bologna Card and users registered in other @FREE_LUNA local networks can navigate at no charge on the @FREE_LUNA_BolognaFiere network and take advantage of dedicated services.

The service access portal has been expanded for the occasion by integrating the Arte Fiera site with access to Futur3 services.

Visitors will see Bluetooth infopoints in various areas of the exhibition. Here, by activating the Bluetooth connection on their cell phone, they can receive free multimedia messages full of useful and interesting information on the exhibition and on the place they are visiting.

The Luna Web TV service is for people who want to stay constantly informed about Arte Fiera. Thanks to cameras installed at strategic points around the exhibition, visitors and everyone who can't attend can watch Arte Fiera live on http://lunawebtv.futur3.it, both on computers and on iPhones.
But visitors to Arte Fiera are offered much more than just surfing the Web.

At the Progetto L.U.N.A. stand on the mezzanine between Halls 21 and 22, all visitors can try out the new Qi! Fiera service, which lets them visit the exhibition by giving new references and offering additional services.

The Qi! platform lets you locate your position on an interactive map and, based on your location, the services and stands you are looking for. It also gives the user useful information on surrounding stands so that he can organize his day's agenda while interacting with other users.

At the stand, visitors can borrow an iPod Touch or an HTC Magic Android and test Qi! "in the field": although this new service is still in the alpha test phase, Arte Fiera is an excellent occasion for the public to test its functions.

BF Servizi organizes the Laurent-Perrier Champagnerie at Arte Fiera for the second year

For the second year in a row, BF Servizi organized and coordinated the Laurent-Perrier Champagnerie for ARTE FIERA - ART FIRST.

Laurent-Perrier Champagne supports important contemporary art shows all over the world, from the Frieze Art Fair in London to the inauguration of the Museo di Punta della Dogana in Venice at the last Art Biennial. Thanks to D&C - the company that has handled importing, the market, marketing and advertising policies in Italy since 2004, Laurent-Perrier was named the "Official Champagne" of Arte Fiera Art First for the second year in a row.

From 28 to 31 January, Laurent-Perrier will be in Hall 15, aisle D of Arte Fiera Art First 2010 with the Champagnerie. Gallery owners, collectors, artists and visitors to the exhibition can enjoy a delightful pause with a glass of Laurent-Perrier champagne, selecting among Brut, Rosé or Grand Siècle cuvée de prestige.

At the previous edition of Arte Fiera Art First, countless people had the pleasure of tasting and discovering the style of Laurent-Perrier champagnes.
